What do I do if I’m running late to return the car?

If you are running late, you will need to extend your booking before your booking time ends.

There will be penalty charges for late return. You will be charged 2 times the rental fee for each late return bookings.

To extend your booking, follow these steps:

  1. Open SOCAR App
  2. Go to Booking Tab > Active booking
  3. Extend Time by 10mins, 30mins or 1 hour
  4. Confirm the extra charges > Proceed

You will be charged based on your selected payment method.

Note: If the car has an upcoming booking, you will not be able to extend your current booking. Kindly reach out to our Customer Support via Live Chat should you encounter such issues.

I ran out of mileage, can I top up?

You can only purchase the mileage package at the beginning of your journey. So plan your journey wisely to avoid running out of mileage!

I have excess mileage that I did not use, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, the mileage package purchased when making a booking is non-refundable.

Do I get a refund if I return the car earlier?

You will not be refunded if you return the car earlier than the return time.

Can I bring the car for a wash if it is dirty?

Of course! If you have extra time, and would like to send the car for a wash, you may do so.

You will be refunded via SOCAR wallet (based on how much you spent) and a 1-hour free coupon. 

If you wash the car during your reservation, you are entitled to: 

  • Claim up to RM30 for car wash reimbursement.
  • 1-hour coupon that you can use for your next booking as a Token of Appreciation.
  • You are able to request for a 1-hour booking extension, as long as you can provide the carwash receipt, picture of before and after the car wash on Live Chat

If your booking is completed, fret not, you are still entitled to: 

  • Claim up to RM30 for car wash reimbursement.
  • 1-hour coupon that you can use for your next booking as a Token of Appreciation.

Note: No booking extension will be provided since the booking is already completed.

Can I claim for car wash?

Yes, of course!

Steps to claim for car wash: 

  1. Open SOCAR App > Profile > Live Chat. 
  2. Speak to our Customer Support Agents about car wash reimbursement. 
  3. Provide a description for the reimbursement claim, and upload your receipt and photos of the car being washed, where the number plate is visible.

Can I claim for fuel reimbursement?

You are eligible to claim for fuel reimbursement if you have refueled your car during your booking.

There are two ways for you to claim your fuel reimbursement:

During booking: 

  1. Go to Booking Tab > Active Reservation 
  2. Fuel Reimbursement > Request Now 
  3. Upload photo showing the proof of receipt and car road tax side by side
  4. Fill in the details needed 
  5. Choose reimbursement method 

Bank Transfer or SOCAR Wallet 

Post booking: 

  1. Go to Booking Tab > Ended 
  2. Fuel Reimbursement > Request Now 
  3. Upload photo showing the proof of receipt and car road tax side by side
  4. Fill in the details needed 
  5. Choose reimbursement method 

Bank Transfer or SOCAR Wallet 

Note:

Only refuel receipts taken with the road tax will be eligible for fuel reimbursement.
