How long before the reservation start time can I access the car?
You are only allowed to access the car 10 minutes before the reservations start time. So, if you made your booking at 3pm, you should be able to unlock the car by 2.50pm after you have uploaded the car inspection photo and Selfie Validation, of course.
How do I lock/unlock the car?
Unlocking the car is easy! First, ensure that you have an active booking, and follow the steps below:
- Go to Booking Tab > Active Booking
- Complete Selfie Validation
- Upload Car Inspection Photos
- Access to your SmartKey
- Click on the Lock/Unlock Button
How do I start the car?
SOCAR provides keyless access to start the car. Ensure that you are inside the car and follow the step below:
- Ensure that the gear shift is at Parking (P)
- Step on the break and hold while you ush and hold the start button until the engine starts

Does SOCAR provide a parking pass?
Yes, we do. We provide a parking pass in the SOCAR for selected zones that require a pass to enter / exit.
You may find the parking pass in the sun-visor, dashboard, or side compartments of the door. Just remember to return it in the same location once you have used it to enter / exit the car park 😉

Can I change my booking time?
Once your booking is confirmed, you can no longer change your booking time. If you need to make any changes to your booking, you would need to cancel the current booking and rebook again with the correct information.
